Here are some examples of motion design I have produced. What you see below has been produced in After Effects and Adobe Illustrator.
COMMERCIAL SHORT FILM
This is a project that I worked on together with two other students. This is a project we produced during a 6-week period whilst being in different locations, so all communication was done remotely through online meetings and a lot of resource sharing. Together, we brainstormed an idea for this commercial inspired by the feelings most of us can recognise from living through a pandemic. We created a storyboard and divided the work between us for efficiency.
I created the character design, illustrated all breakfast scenes and the final scene with the hand scrolling through the phone.
When animating the illustrations, I was responsible for the intro and ending screens, all breakfast scenes as well as the scene where the girl is looking out the window.
Data-Driven Animation
This is a video showing statistics of number of visitors in the central museums of Sweden from the year of 2015. The statistics were presented in a report by the Swedish Agency for Cultural Policy Analysis. By using a JSON file to gather the statistics and using expressions in After Effects, I was able to present the data in an adaptable way. Depending on the share of visitors that each museum made up, the size of the circles and text changed. The more visitors, the bigger the circle.
I also created more informative videos about the three most visited museums. Above you can see the one I created for the Museum of Natural History. Short facts were presented together with illustrations I created of the museums. This composition could also be changed, due to expressions that I added, and show different museums.
In this video, you can see how the presented data can be changed with the help of a slider. In the composition showing statistics, the year is altered, whilst the museum is altered in the informative compositions.
